Sketching a Better Soap Holder


This soap holder is designed specifically for bars of soap used near sinks. Traditional soap holders often fail to drain water effectively, leaving soap to sit in pooled moisture. As a result, the soap softens, sticks to the holder, and can even promote mold growth if there are no drainage holes. This design addresses those issues by angling the soap slightly toward a front drainage hole, allowing excess water to flow directly into the sink for faster drying and improved hygiene.

First T-Spline Model

The ring I created is meant to symbolize marriage and usually has sentimental or monetary value depending on the material. The hardest part of working with T-Splines was making sure the prong faces didn’t overlap, since that would’ve caused errors in the model. If I had more time, I’d subdivide the prongs to make them rounder and add more detail to the stone so it looks more realistic.
