Design a Phone Accessory
When designing my phone holder, I had to make trade-offs due to the 100mm x 100mm x 20mm bounding box constraint, which required me to reduce the overall length of the stand. In addition, based on my current capabilities, I was unable to implement the full range of rotational adjustments I originally planned for. Despite these compromises, I kept the design focused on user needs, such as ensuring the phone can rest securely, allowing for hands-free use in cooking, studying, or content creation. I prioritized a sturdy angled support with openings for both flashlight projection and camera recording, aligning with real-life tasks like following recipes or filming tutorials. If I had more time and tools, I would improve the base stability and add detachable rotation joints. Overall, the design reflects a balance between feasibility under the given constraints and the design's goal of enhancing everyday convenience for multitasking users.
